1761 Restaurant in Manchester is an independent restaurant that serves fresh, homemade, seasonal and locally sourced British food. It pays homage to Manchester’s great past. Drawing inspiration from the Industrial revolution and that warm Mancunian spirit which it so notably represents.
The place is absolutely lovely. The fabulous decor, together with the relaxed ambience made it a fabulous place to spend an evening.
We were shown to our table straight away. We ordered a bottle of wine and got on with ordering. To start, we ended up going for Smoked Duck Breast (honey and goats cheese mousse and chestnuts) and Baked Haddock (with salt & vinegar mash and pea puree.)
For our mains, we went with Corned Beef Hash (with crispy bacon, and egg) and the Chicken & Mushroom Pie (with baby cabbage, and chicken gravy.)
The food was incredible. All dishes looked like works of art when presented and they tasted divine. The Corned Beef Hash was in a league of its own.
You have to eat here.
