Afternoon Tea at Nan’s Kitchen, St. Helens, is quintessentially British, with its cosy ambience, purposely made to have that homely feel everyone needs to experience from time to time. The menu is full of comforting dishes like homemade pies and homemade lasagne, or if you prefer, you can opt for Afternoon Tea. We decided on the latter.
There was a choice of filled sandwiches, tortilla chips and dips, hot spring rolls and more, all served on a tiered stand with unlimited hot teas or coffee. That’s without even mentioning the array of cakes we could choose from. When it came down to it, we went for warm scones with a layer of strawberry jam, and a big dollop of fresh cream. It’s what dreams are made of.
We had a thoroughly lovely afternoon, eating and drinking tea, and soaking up the cosy ambience. It was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours.
You must go.
