The Brasserie in the Richmond Hotel can be found in the heart of Liverpool city centre in an iconic Grade II-listed building.
We decided to treat ourselves to a spot of Afternoon Tea as it’s one of their specialities. As we had already eaten here and seen how beautifully elegant the place was, we were eager to spend another couple of hours in their boutique style brasserie.
Our Afternoon Tea consisted of a selection of finger sandwiches (on both wholemeal and white bloomer) including chicken & bacon with garlic mayo; egg and cress and roasted red pepper & hummus. The cakes were in the form of a fruit scone with cream and jam; lemon meringue tart; blackcurrant macaron and banoffee tart. All of these came alongside a choice of hot beverages.
Everything was just lovely. The sandwiches and cakes could not have been fresher or tastier.
We ate every morsel, and at the end, we were given a complimentary glass of prosecco, which ended the proceedings perfectly.
You must try it yourself.
