Brasserie 1806 is the restaurant within this hotel and its decor is inspired by the 1920’ Art Deco Style. It offers a formal dining environment, which provides a tranquil setting for a stunning combination of food and wine. Their menu provides dishes using only the freshest, locally sourced produce including venison, lamb and a variety of seafood.
For starters we ordered the Sizzling Pork belly BBQ ribs and a sweet chilli slaw and the Sautéed chicken strips with chorizo and mozzarella salad. For mains we opted for the 10oz Gammon steak with a fried egg, tomatoes, mushroom garni, house made slaw and chips. My friend ordered the French trim chicken supreme with lemon thyme butter.
The meat was very succulent and full of flavour and marinated to enhance their flavour. A must to order if you visit! A fantastic night was had. Somewhere everyone must try. Brasserie 1806 offer a fine dining experience and we will definitely be returning for more.
