We visited Dong restaurant after we had been shopping in Liverpool, after hearing great things about their food. On arrival, we were greeted and shown to our table. The menu looked out of this world – it took us a good while to decide what to order. For starters we ordered Gyoza – Pan fried homemade pork and vegetable dumplings and Horenso – Spinach in light sesame salad sauce.
For mains we ordered Mixed King Prawn & Vegetable Tempura – This was served with udon or soba noodles in a light soy kumbo dashi soup, topping with mixed king prawn & vegetables tempura and a thinly Sliced Beef Sukiyaki, which consisted of beef with mixed vegetable & mushrooms in a sukiyaki sauce, served with mixed salad with dressing, pickle, Japanese sticky rice, udon noodles & fresh egg.
The Portions were plentiful and absolutely delicious, we will be visiting again to try another spectacular dish.
Dong restaurant is the perfect place to try new a new style of Japanese!
